ugBmp is a command-line program for DOS/Windows that will import or export bitmap files from your DiddleBug/Diddle
Drawing pictures on your Palm
I use an excellent free Open Source program called DiddleBug on my Palm Treo 700p for doing small black and white drawings. The latest version of DiddleBug creates 320×320 pixel size drawings. These are referred to on their site as “high-res” pictures instead of the 160×160 pixel size drawings that older versions of the software created.
Phun is an educational, entertaining and somewhat (!) addictive piece of software for playing around in a 2D physics sandbox in a cartoony fashion. Phun is not just another game, but is intended to bring in interactive physics as an enabling technology for entirely new concepts and usage patterns in creative computing for animation, simulation, narrativity, engineering, art and education.
Phun has deep gameplay, where you combine problem solving with creativity and artistry, and therefore Phun is both educational and entertaining, and much enjoyed by children as well as adults. Still, we think Phun is just the beginning…
Phun was developed by Emil Ernerfeldt in his MSc thesis project at the Department of Computing Science at Umeå university, supervised by Kenneth Bodin, VRlab/HPC2N.
Originally, the MSc project that lead to Phun was announced by Kenneth Bodin as a project for a the science center, Umevatoriet, in Umeå. However, Emil went way beyond this and Phun has found its way t

Virtual machines can seem juuuuust a bit too geeky for most otherwise computer-friendly people. That's sad, because it's an easy, free way to try or use a separate OS without messing with your hard drive.
From memory you can use vmwares converter and virtualbox will read vmdk's
for linux if you want the easy solution, boot a live cd
dd if=/dev/sda1 of=/path/to/images/sda1.img bs=1024
do that for every partition mounted in /etc/fstab of your machine then setup those images in virtualbox
This tutorial shows how you can virtualize a physical Linux machine. It is intended not only for virtualization, but for any relocation of a RedHat Linux based system from one machine to another.
Here are the steps to be completed:
The real dd command
The basic command is structured as follows:
dd if=<source> of=<target> bs=<byte size>(usually some power of 2, not less than 512 bytes(ie, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192, 16384, but can be any number.) skip= seek= conv=<conversion>.
Source is the data being read. Target is where the data gets written. If you mess up, and accidentally reverse the source and target, you can wipe out a lot of data.
BasicLinux is designed specifically for old PCs. It uses a small kernel and busybox to provide a low-RAM Linux, capable of browsing the web, doing email, and functioning as an X terminal. The current release of BasicLinux is particularly suitable for old laptops — it has PCMCIA capability and includes MagicPoint (a presentation tool similar to PowerPoint).
The current release of BasicLinux is 3.50. It comes in two versions: one boots from a DOS harddrive, the other boots from floppies. Both versions have the option to install themselves to a Linux partition on the harddrive.
I used this tool to fix a problem with an apparently nameless pst file in outlook 2003. Run the tool then use the delte function to remove "unnamed" entry in the "store provider" section.
Public Fix Profile for Outlook® Microsoft Office Marketplace-Logo
Public Fix Profile is a Microsoft® Outlook® Freeware Addon to support the deletion of duplicate Personal Folders in Outlook. On some other websites you find this duplicate Personal Folders also under names like "Ghost PST files" or "phantom PST files"
CodeTwo PST Ghostbuster is a free tool for removing duplicated PST files (ghost files) from Outlook.
In some cases the PST file can appear twice in Outlook. Its contents are then shown twice on the folder list (Fig.1) and in other folder views (Fig.2), which can make work much harder.
Canon Rebel T1i / EOS 500D Compared to Nikon D90 Side by Side
Canon Rebel T1i with EF-S 18-55mm IS zoom lens versus the Nikon D90 with AF-S DX 18-105mm ED VR kit lens
April 7th, 2009
At the 2009 Photo Marketing Association (PMA) Convention held in Las Vegas early last month, the rumours were already swirling that Canon would soon be unveiling something new and "exciting" in the Digital SLR arena.
A few weeks later on March 25th Canon confirmed the speculation and introduced the Canon Rebel T1i digital SLR camera (also known as the Canon Rebel EOS 500D in some countries).
The 15.1 MP Canon Rebel T1i shares an almost identical CMOS sensor with the higher end Canon EOS 50D. The Canon Rebel T1i also inherits the large 3.0-inch, high resolution 920,000 dot LCD monitor with a wide viewing angle and the 12800 high ISO capability from the EOS 50D.

Bummed because you've got a new Wii and the Twilight Princess hack won't work on it? Have an older Wii but you don't want to buy Twilight Princess just to install Homebrew? Try the free and easy bannerbomb exploit.
Last year we showed you how to use the Twilight Princess hack to install the Homebrew Channel and various goodies like DVD playback. The bannerbomb exploit is the newest way to install the Homebrew Channel and works on the newest systems, unlike Twilight Princess—which has been a defunct hack since menu 4.0 was introduced.
How to Store/Load Wii Games via USB Hard Drive [Slick Tricks] PDF Print E-mail

Hey people! I've made a major update to this article. If you are having trouble, you can always try the steps outlined in my original post.
One of the cooler hacks that I've found for the Wii is how to store and load your games from a USB Hard Drive . The idea is that you plug a hard drive into one of the USB slots on the back of the Wii , and rip/store your games. When you want to play them, you have only to access the hard drive and select what you'd like to play.
